Usage Instructions

1. Use method is identical to wooden formwork; hollow plastic formwork and battens should be arranged in a cross shape.

2. No mold release agent is required before use.

3. Timber Spacing: For 18mm thickness, use 350-400mm spacing for slabs <15cm thick, and 300-350mm for slabs >15cm. For shear walls 2800mm high, spacing should be 200-250mm.

4. Assembly: Assemble formwork into whole pieces for shear walls before hoisting to ensure straightness and reduce labor.

5. Nailing: Distance from edge should be 15-30mm; nail length 40-50mm.

6. Seams: Reserve a 15mm allowance for the beam bottom to ensure no slurry leakage.

7. Temperature: Avoid peak temperatures during mold matching. Reserve a 1-2mm gap if temperature differences exceed 5-10ºC.

8. Storage: Place formwork flat after releasing the mould.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can this plastic formwork be reused?
The plastic formwork is highly durable and can be reused more than 60 times, significantly reducing the cost per use compared to traditional plywood.
Is it necessary to use release agents?
No, one of the primary advantages is that it requires no release agents. The concrete does not stick to the PP material, allowing for easy demoulding by simple tapping.
Can these boards be cut or nailed like wood?
Yes, the material can be processed exactly like wood. You can saw, drill, and nail it using standard construction tools.
Is the formwork resistant to weather and water?
Absolutely. It is 100% waterproof and does not absorb moisture. It won't deform, bubble, or mildew even if immersed in water for long periods, making it perfect for damp environments.
Is this material environmentally friendly?
Yes, the formwork is made of PP (Polypropylene), which is 100% recyclable. Waste products can be reprocessed into new boards, supporting sustainable construction practices.
Can it be used for curved walls?
Yes, the material has excellent toughness and flexibility, allowing it to be used as cambered or special-shaped formwork for various architectural designs.
